Traveling with teens isn’t always easy—I’ve got one, and I’ve learned this the fun (and not-so-fun) way. But pick the right destination, and you’ll actually see them smile. Maybe even put their phone down for 5 minutes. (No promises.)

These 10 spots are perfect for teens who love adventure, history, shopping, or just cool places to snap pics. Bonus: They’re all destinations we’d happily return to again.


1. Tokyo, Japan
